Go to a party and scope out a chick you like that you know isn't there with her boyfriend.
"Hi, what's your name?"
"I'm _____, nice to meet you"
"Where are you from?"
Just think of general questions and start chatting. It's not too hard if you plan out what you're gonna ask beforehand.

I find it easier to talk to girls really. Dont know why but i have never seen why people get so bothered with talking to the opposite sex. Whenever theres a party im made in charge of getting girls there becuase everyone knows how easy i find it to talk to them
Just start up a normal convo with them like:
"hey, ive seen you around, you been up to much over the holz?"
"hey"
anything simple really, thats all i do to make conversation with them anyway, then if it starts to drag on then i will more likely that not end up with their number and they will turn up at the party ive invited them too
