    Easy solution, we just force important threads, we're not going to stop posting for two days.

    The easy way is to force the thread, and not mess it up when you do it *points at self*.

    Seeing as the little icon flashes when you haven't read something then surely you would realise there was something in the anouncements that you haven't read when it does flash. So Even if it isn't at the top, then when the icon flashes you would see that there was something in the announcements that you would need to read So it isn't like the thead has been gotten rid of or anything..

    personally i think there should be like 1 or 2 announcement forums with a few sub forums like; Staff announcements for name changes and additions to the team and stuff.
    Or, when an important thread like the phishing one pops up make it so people have to view the thread to continue viewing/posting in the rest of the forum, im pretty sure you have done that in the past.

    If it's important then set it as a global announcement and it will appear in every forum. [Add-on link in case you don't have it]
