Why wouldn't they allow people to build their own maps so they can host it online? Obviously they will know better sniping places etc but that will just make it an all time fun. Could you build with mates?

Because they don't have control, they wont be able to make as much money from far cry because they wouldn't have a reason to release loads of map packs

Yeah but the fact it has a amazing map editor more people will buy the game.
