Most ISPs keep the internet top notch unlike aol. Thanks for explaining.
I am currently with AOL and have been for about 9 years.
They have cause no problems, the service is always up. Obviously there are times when outages occur but nobody is perfect. Their customer service is fine but the waiting times leave much to be desired.
I don't plan on changing anytime soon
What problems have you encountered with AOL?

I have to disagree with your disagreement. I think you've been fortunate with their customer support, I phoned them on behalf of my cousin and the person on the other end was about as computer literate as my shoelace dunked in honey. Took me 15 mins to explain the wifi light wasn't on on the router and ask what button to press to turn it on. When I phoned them for my own problem (the charger on the free laptop had broken) it took me 15 mins to explain what a charger was, let alone ask for a new one. As much as I don't want to sound racist, native english speakers make for far better customer service to english speaking clients, and ones trained in basic IT would be doubly as helpful. As it happens, AOL have neither, or at least not the ones on the other end of my phone.
Never had a problem with uptime but speed is abysmal, I could walk the data to where its coming from faster than AOL can download it. Shame we're contracted with them for another year, I'd love to switch to o2 broadband purely because their customer service when I phoned up with a problem with my mobile was excellent and I've heard many good things about them![]()
