I would just buy a secondary computer...maybe a Netbook? That way you can game on your main machine, and have MSN, iTunes and whatever else you want on the secondary system.

It's like £250 for a netbook and £30 for the video card...

But if you're wanting to multitask with a full-screen game then the Netbook will come in handy. The Aspire One is £179 I believe, and plus with the video card thing, if you didn't already have a extra monitor you'd have to buy one.
