Can I just point out that there were also no gadgets in Casino Royale. So listing that as a bad thing in Quantum of Solace but then going on to praise Casino Royale is stupid.

The story did feel rushed, but it wasn't pointless. It tied up a few loose ends that Casino Royale left open, and delved more into Bond's character. Also, there was sex, just not on screen. Which was kind of strange, but it is there, however inconspicuous it may be.

As for the car comment... there's a car chase in almost every Bond movie. The one in Quantum of Solace just happened to be right at the beginning, so it might seem like car's were absent in this film, but they are there just as much as they are in any other Bond movie.

I think maybe Casino Royale set the standards a bit too high, but you should have known it would be extremely hard to out do Daniel Craig's first Bond movie anyway. Quantum of Solace deserves more praise than a few of you are offering.

for those who don't know... Quantum of Solace translates (i think from latin) as "a little bit of peace" or "quantity of peace"
I didn't work it out myself nor is it from google translate.

True. But that was a bad point about the last film.

And at the same time, left open new loose ends, which will need another film to explain?

And that's all we see of a car, which is ridiculous, cars usually feature greatly in bond films. Whereas, not so in QoS.

We'll see what the critics say, but personally, I don't like it.
    PM me for help.

I watched it, it was really good.

That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

    Agreed.

All this, added to the fact the end was just like... Is that the end?

The storyline was pointless, it had no real meaning to it, making it EXTREMELY weak. It was erratic and too faced paced the whole way through the film. All this added to the fact there was no sex, no gadgets and hardly any cars =/
Why would I be drunk? Its my opinion and i will stick to that. You could say it was crap. Where you drunk when you wrote that?
    y'wha?

The story within the main story with that girl& general guy annoyed me. I was also surprised at how quickly it wrapped up, I was thinking, er... is this it? It was ok but it wasnt fantastic imo. I liked Casino Royale much more, not comparing them, I just liked it.

The film was a 12A, obviously there was no sex, there was a kinky scene but it was kept mature because it's not an 18.. There where quiet a few gadets if you mean by his mobile and that desk where they could see pictures, who cares if he doesn't hook to the top of a building and smash through the glass? It was still quality.
