    Woudln't that be something sceptic? As in sceptical of the Americans? Even so, it's not a widely used term, I don't think :S. Like utopia in the context of something empty - that was just the writer of Doctor Who's alternative interpretation.

    I Think it's mixed up from 'listerine' which is rhyming slang for someone who hates americans.. so you were on the right line.

    Which is something like..

    Yank (Which means American) = Tank, Tank = Septic Tank = Septic

    Anti-Septic = Listerine

    So to be Anti-American would to be Listerine.

    Something like that.
