Rufus Wainwright is the only version I need. He sings it well and doesn't change "you" to "ya".

Hmm, Id only really heard the song a few times before it was released by her. I wouldnt say shes ruined it, i would say the it has ruined her. Its WAY too overplayed. I refuse to play it whenever im on air.
Sorry DJ SCOTTY, im sure the 15 people who listen to your habbo radio wont be pleased to hear that.
x-factor is **** and only watched by 15 year old girls & old people
Pointing out the obvious sometimes put perspective back into a thread where opinionated teens are full of their own self-importance and refuse to believe that a track is in fact good, despite the massive support it has garnered.
Oh, I love Leona to bits! I would have loved for Run to get Christmas number one, but I still appreciate that Alexandra's version of Hallelujah is a good song.
I'm honestly concerned that you know me better than I know myself. I wasn't aware that I fell into either of those categories. Apparently I do, because you said so.
The original singer of any original song makes the song amazing.
The re-make of the same song makes it disgusting.
That's why the XF needs to go back to the winner's single being a new/unknown song, eg. Shayne Ward - That's My Goal and Leona Lewis - AMLT
Leon Jackson destroyed - WYB :\
and obviously some people, not all, feel the same way about Hallelujah :X

kelly clarkson sung a moment like this before leona except back then no one really knew it was a cover because youtube wasn't around. if they did any cover whatsoever now a days, even if it was only recognised by a few, people would still say stuff like "I PREFER THE ORIGINAL BLAH BLAH BLAH"
why don't they do a spin-off to the X-Factor.. like a song writing version of it? winner pens the winner's song.
oh and it doesn't really matter what you personally think of the song.
if everyone thought the same it wouldn't be verging on selling a million..

kiss my swag.
fantasy ride.
I quite like Alexandra's version... But it obviously won't beat versions such as Jeff Buckley's. Still, the majority of you probably didn't even know about the bloody song before X Factor. I know I didn't.
I know Alexandra's version isn't the best - but she still sings amazingly and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't of known the song in the first place.
