I currently live with my mum and little brother.. and well, I feel like it's time to change and move out. Luckily, my girlfriend feels the same. However, I wonder how difficult it will be to find somewhere.

We're considering going on the council housing register, but who knows how long that will take.

Just wanna know what you guys think, really.

    • I'm 16, my girlfriend is too
    • She lives with her parents, 2 brothers and sister
    • I attend full-time 6th form and have a part-time job
    • My girlfriend intends to leave 6th form and get a full-time job

    Ideas? Suggestions? Comments?

    Go for it!

I dont think you realise how expensive it is to live on your own and all the extra bills which you dont know you have to pay. I you want to get a council property then i would get your girlfriend pregnant as otherwise youve got no hope.

No, but really, I'm so stuck for what to do. My part time jobs brings in £300-£400 pound a month and my girlfriend's brings in a little more.

And yeah, like Faye said, me and my girlfriend have been together over 2 years; it would definately only make us stronger to live together.
lol so your earning about £700-£800 each month together you will pay about £500-£600 on rent and that leaves you with £200 which is not even close to enough to pay for food, bills and leisure money.

soz for double post forgot i had allready posted.
