HSBC. - Least to go bust and actually HSBC has had no publicity regarding the Credit Crunch. Whereas Lloyds TSB has.

£10 says no bank is going to go bankrupt (in the UK i don't care about US banks)
Even if a bank does go bust due to the credit crunch, if you have 50 grand or less you can claim it all back.
I'm with halifax at the mo. Quite a decent bank tbh, Good customer service etc..

northern rock is the best place to put your money atm, as your guaranteed to get your money back in case something happens, as someone put it, nationalised.
