Also anyone who prefers one os over another is an idiot, they all do the same thing. Apart from OS X and Lunix which has 0% chance of running extreme games.
Nono. Anyone who can't tell the differences between OSX and Windows is an idiot. There are differences.

Try them both :/ Although judging by the religious response by the Mac users, I would of gone for a Windows PC, just because the whole Mac religious thing freaks me out

It depends entirely what you use it for, but as JewishBear says, they both do exactly the same things, except in different ways - it just depends on what way you want your computer to do them

You have to go with the one you want...
They both have their pros and cons.
I'm on a MacBook, and I wouldn't go back to Windows, now but my family are all Windows users and hate my Mac. :p
    Just what you're into, really.

Then there are features unique to an operating system.

Such as? I can't think of any unique features. The bottom tray thing that Macs have isn't unique really, you can get that as an add-on for Ubuntu and XP/Vista. The music editor thing in Vista which allows you to edit the tags of photos, documents, music and videos in the folder window is kinda unique to Vista, I don't think OS/X has such a feature without opening up a program, but I've never dived that much into them to be honest

Linux is good, but Microsoft really hate them, any big company that use Linux on a re-selled product, Tom Tom the new example, they'll sue them. Microsoft claim Linux is in breach of hundreds of MSFT patents.

Tbh, I hate Microsoft the whole vibe around the company, they are really uninnovative, and should just stick to applications, like MS Word.

Who will they sue? Who exactly owns Linux?
