Jen, couples going off somewhere alone to spend some time together counts as a date, just because its not at the cinema or in some fancy resteraunt doesn't ulter the purpose.

Usually a date occurs when it's someone trying to make an impression before becoming a couple then they usually don't bother and if they do then what a great partner they must make. I don't see why it's called dating when you don't actually have dates but nevermind i clearly don't know anything!

its just like, "fancy doing something"

and best first 'date' in my oponion is just going somewher quiet for a couple of drinks because then you can actually sit down and chat and get to no the person and find out if u actually like each other.
