A13. Leave moderating to the moderators – If you see someone breaking a rule, click the report post icon on that post with a brief description. Also, you may not discuss bans on the forum. If you wish to dispute a ban use the Support System. Also, you should never ignore a moderators warning, change their warnings, or open a thread they have closed.

I don't really see a problem with this rule. Pretty simple, it also stops arguments really for when your telling them to "stop" something when that's up to the Moderation Department.

True but when that doesnt work a ban does. At the end of the day the of the day the users have no power to deal with rule breakers all you guys can really do is say "hey stop that" which isn't exactly an effective method of moderation. It causes pointless arguments which do not make the forum look welcoming or friendly to new users and we get screwed at by people saying "Well he started it" or "why didn't you infract him!". Which puts us in a "Damned if you do, Damned if you don't" position, so the simplest solution is Rule A13. Leave moderating to the moderators.

I don't think that should necessarily be the case. For example, say you made a post with loads of swearing I could quote it and say "You don't have to swear to prove your point.." but then move on to make sure the rest of the post relates to the thread. If I just went to a random thread saw someone swearing and just said "Don't swear, it's against the rules" then I'd be falling foul of the A13 rule, surely.

Last time I reported a post it took the moderators 3 hours to respond.

I'm sure they replied ASAP, they can't be expected to do everything at once.

You just answered your own question, telling someone not to won't achieve anything as they'll just continue, as Moderators have punishing powers they're bound to stop breaking the rules.

Much more effective than a member telling them to stop. What will that achieve? At the end of the day you're only annoyed about the rule because I warned you for breaking it.

This isn't ClubHabbo, we don't have like, one rule. All the rules are there for a reason and are pretty damn effective.

I think the problem with that is that it conflicts with some peoples opinions. So if someone doesn't like heap loads of swearing (filtered, infiltered), they will uncontrollable make that opinion known, as a joke or not. For example:

Malicious/Rude

STOP SWEARING YOU COW! IT'S AGAINST THE RULES!!!

Technically, the jokingly quote isn't against any rules, not even the rule about moderating, as it makes no references. So I'd imagine it's only the second quote that is the problem?
