Search through your xbox, see what you have (demo wise/film/images/song) whatever and delete it, if not keep them untill a new map pack comes out on a game you want .. happens all the time i bought 1600 points, used 800 on a gears 2 map pack then the cod ones came out and i already spent them on change gamertag . So no point in spending them stuipdly, just keep them.
