    - Don't own a Hotmail account on your Habbo as they are SO easily reverted

    Yeah, Frisky's advice is pretty good. I also personally use different DOB's and different personal info and different emails on all of my main accounts on different sites, and just keep the information all written down in a little notebook that I keep in my room. Like for example, I'd make an email address specifically to use just for verifying my habbo, but then never use it for anything else. That way if someone gets into the email you use on a daily basis, they can't get to your habbo account. Course if you get keylogged, you're still screwed, but it helps a bit at least and if you don't download from sites or visit sketchy places, you'll be even better off.

    I've pretty much quit Habbo & Habbox, but I still stop by every once in a while. If you knew me, send me a message saying hi, and I promise I'll get back to you! Miss all you wonderful people who saved me from boredom all those years.

    Yeh, good advice

    Using different DOB's really helps because even if they did manage to find yours out, it wouldnt work

    Also use an e-mail that nobody knows.

    Excellent advice!

    I agree that hotmail accounts are so easily reverted so i would suggest Yahoo.
    From looking around it seems it's safest and although it can be reverted it is way more complicated than a hotmail revert.

    Also hackers gain your trust before they sting you so even your bestfriend on habbo could be a hacker!

    Ok i can't get you your full DOB but i can get the year of birth if that would help.

    What you need to do is load the habbo hotel up and on the loading screen right click and select "View source"
    A load of coding will come up but your looking for the line

    Code:
    var ad_keywords = "[Your tag here],[your tag here],[your tag here]gender%3Am,age%3A16";
    once you find that line look at
    Code:
    age%3A16";
    As you can see at the end of this it says "16"
    This is how old the habbo is!
    So minus 16 from 2009 and you get the year of birth
    hope this helped.

    It's when hackers recover your email password by gathering enough personal information from you that they can pretend to be you, and get a password reset/figure out your secret question answers. You'd be surprised at the sort of stuff you can accidentally let slip to people in daily conversation - especially since you really can't trust anyone you meet online. Like Dj-Flame said, they gain your trust, then screw you over. That's why using incorrect personal info will prevent this from happening, even if you do tell some stranger your life story! (Which of course you shouldn't do, haha).

    Sorry to hear about £90 pound worth getting hacked off you.
    Keyloggers are binded with a file normally .exe so you do in fact have to download something.

    Keyloggers won't start downloading unless you click to download a file etc
    Also if you are downloading something from rapidshare etc always check file size against an original file from certified seller/ download.

    Also most "Noob" hackers will use Ardamax keylogger which is easily removed
    To search your computer for an Ardamax computer if you feel unsafe or worried go to http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-ardamax-keylogger.html

    Hope this helped

    That's actually not true, hackers can easily use Java related coding to automatically download and execute spyware on your computer, silently, in the background, it's just whether your AV is good enough to pick up these actions and stop them from happening.
