HmMmM... its a bit 50/50. The only thing is people get a little too hooked on to the relationship like omg I love you and stuff and when it leads to that it more likely to lead to meeting up which isnt very wise.

It was in a news paper that over 300 odd chilren since 2001 have gone missing after trying to meet up with there internet b/f or g/f.

It is quite sad, although I have nothing against someone that has one. Reasons;

1. The person you are dating could actually be a 70 year old paedophile.
2. It gives people the impression you are unable to get a gf/bf in real life.
3. It makes you look really desperate.
4. You are never going to meet up with them anyway.
5. Even if you do, you might get a nasty surprise.
6. I cannot remember what I was going to write here.
