There are none that are known of as far as I'm aware but some, if not all bosses are on drop tables, which means there are some weapons they will always drop. I.e. The Clipper from the first boss, and I believe there are no secret bosses.

I have a crappy standard Xbox one, I'll use it maybe, but I'll just babble on and there's no real strategy required to the game. Although it'd be best to talk to each other about duelling for weapons and such.

You can play with anyone, so you can have 3 Bricks or 2 Rolands or 4 Mordecais

i think that if u play 4 player co op, having all 4 players as different characters is the best option. Each one brings something different

It's more like Halo mixed with Diablo really, also it's a first person shooter not third.

As long as everyone specs differently it's all good, one Roland could be full heal spec while another could be infantry or support.
