Considering 50 people can be in the room at any one time, it seems stupid having that tiny little area. Plus people abuse the rules anyway, happens all the time.
    One for the road.

I agree in which that having a big room wasn't the greatest of ideas but if it's being used for something else then we can't do much about that. The rest of the room being used it is about the same size of a normal room.

    They layout is awesome.

And I guess if only half is being used, you can zoom in and it will feel like a small room.

I have always hated big rooms, I wouldn't use it for anything, even trade rooms. Thats just my opinion.

Jin and I both agreed to close the door, because we can't see what users in the entire room are saying if we allow them in the winter area. Obviously there are users who would take advantage of staff not being able to see what they're saying.

Also I am not only letting certain users in the Winter area:S The users in there now are only in there because they entered before I closed the gate.
Why dont you allow people to have some freedom and give them chance to say what they like? It's not up to you to moderate, that's the moderators duty, if Habbo allows their chat to be used, so should you. If you don't like it report it to the moderators.

Because all Habbox rooms should follow Habbox's rules which clearly states:

    no swearing
    no abusing
    no scamming etc

The staff are there to moderate users and keep a good environment in the room.
They do the same as any other room owner does, kick racists, spammers, scammer, people abusing other members. I dont see every other room owner being told to leave spammers etc alone and to give them freedom to say whatever they like.

Unfortunately there is a problem on this forum where everyone loves to complain. The thing is, however much you hate the big room, it will not be changed into a smaller room until the Winter season is over. So like I said in the other thread, just post constructive things and I am sure they will take it into consideration while creating the new room after Winter.
Theres no point saying stuff like "WELLL MAKE IT A SMALLER ROOM THEN. NOT THAT HARD! A 4 YEAR OLD COULD WORK IT OUT! ".

you're allowed to swear in habbox rooms as long as it's not aimed at anybody. habbo follows the same rules. habbo doesn't allow abusing nor scamming, just to list the three examples you gave. i agree the staff need to be there to kick people who constantly violate these rules, especially spam flooders.

The point of this thread is to discuss half the room being closed, not the fact its a big room.

I also cannot help but feel that the snowy part takes up 75% of the room, and this shouldnt be restricted or it is pointless.

The solution is for staff to move around the room, there should be enough staff to do this! The solution currently being used is lazy.

May I remind you of the situation when nvr and sam were more involved in hxhd? The staff area was tiny to encourage staff to come out from behind the desk. This is clearly what needs to happen and if it doesnt hxhd staff are just lazy.

It's fair enough if you're gonna close it a few hours prior to the event to rearrange it and then not open it until the event but David's method of closing it last night for the ease of seeing what everybody saying is flawed, as has been said - staff should be in different parts of the room
