think the profession i want to get into can earn up to 90k![]()
I love it when youflex like that
Both my uncle and dad have owned (uncle still does own) very succesful cake shops. The bakery I'm working in now my uncle used to own and the turnover is close to 1m+ a year so I think it's a more then feasable idea. I'm pretty confident I'll be able to earn the 150k+ a year.By that logic I'll be looking at a £1.5 million turn over at the end of my first year as a homeless man. It's difficult to run a private business and many go under, even if your cakes are extra delicious.
Whatever is acceptable in the future to sustain a decent quality of life but obviously aspiring for something higher than that.
So is it a franchise of a big bakery chain or is it actually a privately owned, independent company? Both my uncle and dad have owned (uncle still does own) very succesful cake shops. Loving how everyone thinks they'll be on £30k+. The "average" wage is reportedly around £26k and for that you have to take into account the fact that there are plenty of people in the UK earning 6 digit salaries, so imagine the number of people who must be earning far far below that figure - even with degrees and putting time/effort into your work. No wage is guaranteed no matter what you've studied or what you know, it comes down more likely to contacts and sheer luck.
I personally have no idea what I want to eventually go into, maybe I'll be a vicar so I get a free house or something, then even though the wages are crap I'll know exactly how much I can spend on food and all that rather than having to take housing costs out of my salary. Then again maybe I'll just go into whatever comes my way and hope the lottery works in my favour, who knows
You have to also count the people who have no jobs and are on benefits.. which will bring your average down alot. All of these targets are achievable with a bit of work.
they wont be counted, only people in employment are.
Id like to think id be on 50k+, into a big accountancy firm somewhere, but who knows lol. 50k would support more than a family of 4, and still be pretty well off. Especially if the wife has a job too
