Sadly not everyone is like that and work slower and have to do the work for homework, which has to be done on a computer. I can see where you are coming from but people do get homework and have to finish it off at home.

Regardless, if somebody was serious about their work they would do it at college.. Sure having your own laptop helps but it isn't essential and never has been.

Just my opinion but years 3 - 5 don't need a laptop, I think Years 6 onwards do really.

lol as I said before, nothing stopping you from using college's facilities and this system will just be abused anyway as loads of people don't even *NEED* the laptops

What a stupid idea. If anything it's the years above the ones given that need it I'd say. This is how bad Labour is, the country's in debt, just out of a recession and they're giving away computers. Saying that, it's an English thing only I think..
