Lol cheers Oli. I keep thinking though that on Habbox, it would just be abused by people using it to form little gangs to bully people.

I imagine it would have to be moderated closely, I'm not too sure how groups are created, whether it's done by the member themselves or whether it has to be done via admin, obviously if it's the latter then we can keep a strong control over it. If I'm brave I could say they sound like "Features" to me so it could be put down to brandon & yoshi

loads of work? no you cant even comment on them you just join... a mod would see one just as they would see a post as they display on userprofile and im sure there is a system that makes admin/mods approve them first. And you can create them yourself i think

Gives members an identity, like the IT crowd and the pixel artist one. I imagine there would be rules suggesting sensible groups.

Groups work well on a forum I manage, friends however do not. They are sort of defunct feature of vBulletin seeing as there is both a friends system and a contact system and I've yet to see the friends system do anything more than simply be a fancifle contacts list.

Although social groups may be a bit hard to moderate - they could be a new take on the old VIP subforums.
