i think they look alright, but i still think some bigger, more savvy ones would look better. Ones that make use of PNG transparency like the ones i posted on page 1

Yeah, I do like the ones you posted. Much more modern and dynamic, but I think they're... too big, especially along side text they would look kinda silly.

You're clearly exaggerating. They're not at all hard to see - it's not like you're trying to read a map fgs! They suit these new skins infinitely better than those outdated 2D-looking ones. If/when the old skins return, I might change my mind (again), but I still think it would be a lot better to have those as the default main ones and have the old brown ones just with the rest in the main smilies window.

I never said they didn't suit this skin better, in fact, I think I said the newer ones actually suit it better. They are hard to see when you take a quick glance at them, which was proven when they were the default ones. If you didn't know they were the ones used as etc but were changed due to complaints.

The ones in the quote below are the ones I have been talking about. They have never been assigned as smilies on this forum. The ones which were originally added with the new skins were different.

See the icons you can select with the heading of a post? Those smilies look the best!
