You will find it much easier if you just have a couple of items in large amounts, e.g. the bars and bones are helpfull as they can be used to raise smithing and orayer easily. So if you get lots of bars and bones you will be able to buy gold black that way. Iron bars are worth about 80gp ea; full black is 200k ea. So if you earn money with bars you will be able to buy gold black in no time. (Making iron bars with a ring of forgeing is much easier, as you get a 100% rate - but its members only).
