I was considering getting an iPad as I'm going to the army and going to need something to keep in contact with my family (minus my iPod Touch) but I think I'm still going to get an Acer Aspire laptop =)

I just bought a nexus one which put me out $700 or more (depending on VAT). I hope buying this over the iPad was smart
