To be honest you can sterotype all music somehow, there is no exceptions.

Pop all sounds like computer generated garbage.

"Indie" all sounds like The Who or The Beatles

Rap all sounds like Run DMC, just a little more violent over the years.

In all honestly metal has more range than any of them genres, you get metal that has soft vocals but heavy intrumentals, you get metal that has mid-range intrumentals and a combination of soft and heavy vocals, sterotypically metal is "RAWRRAWRRAWRRAWR".

But sterotypically all RnB is black chicks with big butts and pop is girls and gay guys with a computer doing 90% of the work.

Edit - Scratch that, Samsabear listens to Bring me the Horizon, his opinion is invalid.

Oh I totally agree with it having a wide range, I mean Metalcore is definitely my favourite genre of all time. Metal, as in, stand alone metal, is just awful. I can't speak for all the sub-genres because I don't give them the time of day, but metal is just so boring to listen to.
Also herp derp Bring Me The Horizon. Original hating there.

Well at least you like metalcore.

Also I'd say it's pretty original, I've always hated that band, not only can't Oli Sykes sing but they also covered Eyeless by Slipknot and did a HORRIBLE job, they also make metal look bad, I can't wait for them to get bottled at Sonisphere.

Does anyone else hare it when you start listening to a song that sounds pretty cool, then the lyrics kick in and it's just screamo? ;l

Haha, thats happened to me so much. I stumble across a song or get recommended something, I start listening... sounds pretty good so far... then suddenly the vocalist just starts screaming nonsense and I'm left devastated. Such a nice sound ruined.

Yep, I find that happens alot and it's annoying because it's normally always the horrible kinds of screamo.

Doesn't matter, I hate that band either way, it's not like I'm part of some sort of BMTH hatred collective, they're rubbish and anyone that likes them doesn't deserve to say any music is bad.

Not really bothered by what you say, as I said before, the opinion of people that listen to that band means nothing to me, the fact they will be playing like 3 or 4 miles from my house is enough to make me actually leave the town during the course of Sonisphere.
