im really confused :S

ok first, what identifys you better than your own picture? secondly, correct me if i'm wrong but this is a social networking site? it is like saying, why would you want a picture of yourself on facebook. finally, what is wrong with me wanting my own picture? maybe i am really really vain but it isn't for others to worry about.

well on facebook you pretty much expect to see pictures of them, you don't on a habbo forum. the other forums that let it look unprofessional imo, i'm not bothering to debate it because the majority want to be allowed to but the rule atm is you're not allowed to so you should just take it off :/

ok fair point but... its not like its doing any harm? surely people shouldnt even be allowed to use avatars off the web without permission off the owners of the photograph? im not sure on that though cos i dont study law or owt :S

no mine is a singer, celebrities are different because you're not talking directly to them, i despise lady gaga and i do make judgements on people for their music taste so i see anyone with her as an avatar/sig i automatically assume they're a 12year girl or gay guy who follow the crowd.
that's probably just me but think about if it was someones actual picture. call me shallow but i could not take someone who had a picture of themselves as their avatar seriously, especially if they were unfortunate looking. there's enough bullying as it is on peoples appearances just from posting in the actual thread.
it looks tacky and i personally wouldn't do it but have no problem posting in a thread where it's not solely based on me.

however if everyone wants to put pics of themselves up obviously few others and myself who don't want it to happen might actually get a laugh out of it so why not eh?
