No - as it would validly fit in another forum if you posted it in spam you are clearly just trying to advertise it.

You're contradicting yourself oli... he was posting a radio interview asking people to go to the site and listen

Of course I'm trying to advertise it, why wouldn't I want to advertise it? What's wrong with advertising it? Why close the thread instead of moving to the relevant forum?

He was advertising his own site - purely to get listeners.

This rule has never caused problems before so I don't see what the issue is. It will not be changing.

I have amended the rule in spam to make it clear for those who don't understand.

if he posted advertising a radio interview he was in and it got removed then that's kinda harsh lol ... he was probably proud of himself or w.e and then posted it to get a discussion going, but rather than posting it in a forum that is very 'constructive' about it, he decided to post in the most laid back forum...

i do this sometimes if i don't want to discuss something so seriously, or only want to share a thought or something in the spur of the moment, i post in spam.

e.g. when i got my invisible car, i didnt want to post in the car section, so i posted in spam for a more laid back discussion?

if he had said CLICK THIS LINK AND COME TO MY WEBSITE

then ok... but w.e im not too bothered cus i dont know the full story

i didn't think it was his radio though as he was being interviewed on an internet radio.

so really, if one words their post correctly, it can be easily avoided (advertising). i don't post threads rly anyway so doesn't affect me lol.

Not that moderators decisions should be discussed in feedback, but what he did was pretty much the same as if someone from Clubhabbo came along and posted "LISTEN TO MY RADIO SHOW - CLUBHABBO.NET" in the spam forum. It's not necessary.

Still not clarified, Show off your website is for websites being created, meaning the layout. What comes under etc? You said news articles, images ??? video? audio? interviews?
