bacon, GOOD EXPENSIVE sausages and italian/spanish hams are the only meats i really really enjoy. chicken and cow and pork don't do it for me. i prefer vegetable curries and vegetable pasta dishes. cheap meat is really bad for you so i doubt i'll eat much of it at uni. Meat is bad for you in the quantities that most people eat it in.

i was vegetarian over lent and i didn't find it too difficult (apart from no bacon) plus i felt much more healthy after it.
    goodbye.

and your post assumes that everyone likes the same things. ive always despised KFC and McDonalds, even before i was a vegetarian, it's just really gross food tbh. not that kfc or mcdonalds should be considered real food anyway lol. i dont take as much pleasure in eating in general as some people do. i kinda just see it as a chore for health, like brushing my teeth. so why would i eat something really unhealthy if id get the same satisfaction from a bunch of fruit?
If that is how you see food then that's great, a lot of people would love to be able to happily eat healthy food but because they enjoy food so much they can't.

lol that was my point. your earlier post said that vegetarians are "missing out," as if they know that they really love meat but just wanna abstain from it and make themselves miserable, when the fact is that many vegetarians simply don't like the taste of meat. according to your logic everyone should smoke cigarettes, since i like cigarettes, you only live once, and people who dont smoke dont know what theyre missing.

Yeah and plenty of flowers are red, doesn't mean that daisies don't exist.

Just out of interest, what's the moral ideology (if there is one) behind this? The only people I know who will eat fish and poultry but not red meats do so simply out of taste preference, I've never heard any other reasoning for it.

Yeh you only live once so why ruin that time by developing lung/heart problems, being more unfit than you should naturally be and not live as long. You can turn it around and say meat can be unhealthy but if you eat the proper stuff and eat it in half decent moderation then it's great for you!
