Exactly, which is why it is being implemented as another category for Member of the Month for someone who posts a considerable amount across all categories constructively.

'posting competition' is most posts = win
nothin to do with constructiveness as thats the point in motm in the first place? :S
so now what your saying is this is basically a copy of motm? :S as motm i believe is good quality and quantity posts
Most posts = win - providing those posts are of a good quality and not restricted to threads such as "what are you listening to" and "what are you eating" etc etc. It's to recognise the highest poster, yes, but within the confines of the member of the month criteria. So we may well choose the 15th top poster rather than the first. It is about the highest poster, but it doesn't mean getting those posts are easy.
Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini
so what difference is this 2 motm ;s
i hardly use the forum so idk wtf it is but from wot i see
MOTM - Good quality posts and alot of them
Posting Comp - Good quantity of posts and constructive
MOTM = Posting comp
so theres 2 the same?
To be honest you can try all these gimmicks you like, I see like 80 people online at one time, and hardly anyone posting. Staff are useless when it comes to posting, and it's not changing. Granted a lot of staff do post, but they like to stay couped up in their little staff forums. The worst culprits for this is HabboxLive Staff. I'm not taking a dig at them, and I know their job doesn't involve the Forum, but what it does involve is the community. So when you get all these new DJ's who have only just joined the Forum because they wanted the job but decided they weren't going to post around the Forum it's not really engaging with the community.
Stop with the gimmicks and sort out the staff that don't post. People who are online must be doing something so why the HELL aren't they posting?! It's a ******* joke. This is just a pointless way of rewarding people who don't want to post to post. If you're going to get people to post and to "look more popular" force the staff which will get the Forum more active and then people outside the Staff will be more inclined to engage in discussion.
Apologies to the staff that do post often and this isn't aimed at you, it's aimed at the staff who sit for hours on end Online but doing **** all.
MOTM was always a posting comp anyway if you look through half the old winners, but yeah saying it's a posting competition where the highest poster might not win because someone else has better posts is exactly the same as what MOTM is meant to be
Sorry you appear to be getting confused, probably because I have had a few to drink and I am not explaining it correctly. Fundamentally, it is about who posts the most, but what I am saying is that it's not about someone who posts 1,000 times a month in "What are you listening to", rather the person who posts 400 times a month across several forums with substance and meaning. If you like, it's the crème de la crème of MOTM - the person who posts more than anyone else, across several (rather than just one) category, constructively (or at least not pointlessly - and that's the key issue here).
Basically what I am saying is it won't reward pointless posts.

I never commented on that, my comment was valid, why ignore it EH?!Sorry you appear to be getting confused, probably because I have had a few to drink and I am not explaining it correctly. Not a good idea to publically announce posts as a form of getting MOTM... It should of been done behind the scenes, and have it so it isn't a primary way to get it![]()

Forum rule definition of pointless is somewhat different to what may actually be useless to the thread. I got a PM earlier about an apparently pointless post which had been deemed so because it only had 2 words - this was regardless of the fact that I had in those two words said all that was asked of me in the thread, and although others had written a few more words, none had given "reasons" and so the entire thread should have been in forum terms pointless.
Going the other way, there are literally thousands of posts that I would call pointless but fall within the rules as being legitimate - incorrect or repeated information being the main offenders here. If someone posts a thread in the health section about how they need some time off college but will get kicked out if they take the time as holiday and the first reply is "I'M SURE THEY WON'T MIND" (yup, it happened) that's apparently a useful post. Similarly, you often have threads asking for advice and it's solved fairly early on, yet people then feel the need to repeat the exact same information that's just been given, which is again seen as not pointless, but is far less useful than the original answer. With these points in mind there is no way, without reading every single post on the forum for the month, of knowing for sure who has made the best posts - hence why MOTM has largely relied on post count and not actual content so often
