I wouldn't mind having kids one day, although I gotta admit, I'm pretty damn scared of the pain!
I wouldn't really prefer more than 2, but as long as I have less than 4 then it's alright I suppose I don't want a huge family for myself.
I really don't want to be having kids after 30, I think that by the time they grow up you'd be too old to really understand, and that gives them a lot less life with you. And then I'd hope not to have any before 18! Some of my favorite names are Declan, Jace or Jacen, Landon and Cade for boys. I also like Callie, Charlotte, Bree or Brielle, Leighanne, Roxanna and Renee for girls (I like a lot of girls names!) Right now my first picks would probably be Declan Jace for a boy and then Charlotte Renee or Roxanna Leigh for a girl but my opinions always change so that'll be different soon enough!

Yeah I think between 21 and 30 is the prime time for having kids. My mum was 33 when she had me and idk... I just feel she's too old to interact with now...whereas my dad was 27 and just those few years mean he understands me more and he was still quite young throughout my childhood.

I'm intending to marry at 24/25 and then have 1 kid the same year, then another 2 years later.

I do want children, because I lived in a family with a sister.
    What the hell?

Anyway, i'm not sure. I think a lot of people have children for the wrong reasons tbh. If you're going to be a **** parent then don't bother.

that is ridiculous, what makes anyone too old to understand. it doesn't make you any less of a parent no matter your age :S
& it doesn't give you "less life" your parents can die at any age no matter how young they have you. if they make it to 70 years old (which is not uncommon :S) you'll be 40, that's enough time for being a parent & even a grandparent. so i don't get it.

Yer i do, because im a traditional kind of guy, in the sense that i'd like just a normal house, a wife and kids. Age i havent really thought about, but definitely not early 20s. I'd say about 2, wouldnt want just 1 since they'd be alone and anymore than that seems like a lot to manage. Never really thought about names but i do like the name "Noah" (in a non religious way though >;l).

I don't want kids, i know i'm only 17 but I don't want them at all. I have no patience and i'm just rubbish with kids, I have two nephews and that's good enough for me. The only way i'd have any is if I adopted one that wasn't a baby.

maybe it's personal preference but I wouldn't want my kids to have an old mother growing up. I mean think about it, the farther off from them you are in age the less you'll be able to relate (usually) to them and what they want to do etc because you've lived so much longer and have so many more years to remember. My mom had my brother at 17 and myself at 22 and she's really good to us despite her lack of financial 'stability'. I'm allowed to go a lot of places and do a lot of things that I want to do. I know friends who have parents in their late 40s and 50s who aren't allowed to do anything or have fun at all, they can't do what they want and their parents are extremely controlling. It could just be style of parenting but honestly I don't really think it is. This all can obviously work in the opposite favor and they could restrict you from doing everything because they think you're going to go have sex and smoke and get drunk, but I've never had that happen. I just don't think it would be very fun to be like 15 and say "oh yeah, my parents are 50." what happens when you're 30 and they're 75 and close to dying? I really appreciated having a lot of time with my GREAT grandparents, and I can't imagine having a life with old immobile grandparents. They were able to do everything with me that I wanted since they were only 40/50 when I was born. I think all kids should get to meet as many family members as possible, and if they're born while you're in your 20's they'll have a better chance of meeting them.
