First racing game that came in to my head..

Guys when you get it can you do a comparison for me between games such as Need for Speed Shift etc?

I can't decide whether to buy an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3

If GT5 is as good as it is supposed to be, I will buy a PS3 - if not probably a 360 due to the price.

This a joke? NFS: Shift is the worst racing game I've ever played. It's the only game I've ever not kept and sold on eBay. I Still have every game I've ever bought for any console apart from that one.

Well from my experience the online experience is comparable to the wii's

That's the first time I've ever heard the experience of using a PS3 described as an economic system .

And the online gameplay on the 360 and PS3 are very similar.

Basically I am looking for a comparison with any well known popular racing game you can think of. NFS just happened to be the first game I saw on my rack of games.

Gran Turismo is THE best racing game series on the planet, it's pretty much the reason why a lot of people have chosen the PS3 over the 360

Forza tries to be Gran Turismo but it just isn't the same (I have Forza 3 and have played GT 2, 3, 4 )

What exactly is so good about it?

I think I am gonna go for the ps3 anyway - seems to be built for the future better than the xbox

There's just so many tracks and cars it's amazing, the career is challenging and fun, + in GT5 you'll have karting, rallying and all sorts. The physics and customisability are fantastic and by the looks of it, GT5 is set to be the best game graphically we've ever seen

Oh, and the multiplayer, freakin' love it.
