I'm waiting for an internal power struggle where North Korea solves itself from the inside out. It'll be far more interesting than South Korea getting involved and wouldn't mean much to the outside world other than South Korea taking over. A nice win-win situation

With a replacement leader lined up this is looking very unlikely, he has many decades in him before they'll need a new leader. Unless something unusual happens in North Korea when Kim Jong Il dies, it's either gonna end some other way for North Korea or carry on.

I don't think this event is particularly notable though, not much more than the usual battling between the two which always results in nothing. Didn't think it'd take long for nuclear war to be mentioned

Dude, Kim Jong-il is probably nearing his death. He'll start war when he's going to die.

I was more hinting towards North Koreans going against Kim Jong Il in an internal struggle, with civilians and military personnel going against the establishment, which is currently happening on a low-scale at the moment, usually with our generation. It does make you wonder what is keeping the country together, but they're so secretive and any interviews with the outside world are usually set-up. I remember watching a program a while ago about a man showing off what he eats and letting slip he only got the food from the "establishment" because he had served in the military for years, when he was meant to act as though he was a regular citizen and the food on the table was what anyone in the country had.

And people love to scare themselves, just let them mention nuclear war

If north korea fire the nukes they have at the usa, then that alone is enough to cause devastation beyond anything seen before. It doesn't matter how many other nukes can be fired at n.korea. Western countires wouldn't dare risk nukes being fired at them.

R0BB13G, this isn't a game of Call of Duty. USA wont fire a nuke when Obama hears they've successfully shot 25 Koreans.

This is the normal border fighting, happens everywhere. Even happens between India and Pakistan.

Start of world war 3 much?

I bet you that if there is a third world war which there most likely will be, it'll be to do with n.k.

I cannot see how North Korea can start another World War :/ One tiny nation with barely any power cannot make the whole world go insane, when it has no allies willing to bottle feed it if it does do anything stupid. The war would surely end within a few weeks...

days* N.Korea attack, every Nato nation attacks them - done.

Tbh it won't start a world war no matter what. They attack S.Korea - NATO helps Korea & it will be another Korean War, not a world War - it won't spread to Europe/Central Asia.
