He's not very Street smart for walking out wearing £200,000 worth of jewellery in my opinion. I think he should of had security, with someone as high as his profile he is going to be aimed at.

Previous Roles
I knew someone would say this.
That is why the death penalty should be brought back.
Read me post earlier on - £200k of Jewellery to him is like a normal person with £100k walking around with £20 of Jewellery
I think he should on occasions have body guards but to be fair it is his own choice to whether or not he does.
He must know that he is in the spotlight because of people who watch F1 & read newspapers but its not everyday that somebody is targeted is it?
 McLaren F1  FC Barcelona  Sheffield United FC
I have left for now but may return in the future!
Thing is even if the death penalty came back these guys wouldn't get it...it's for murderers/terrorists/hardcore criminals. Not a small gang of petty thieves.
And no "normal" person has 100k. Most people are in 10k debt. Even so its his fault for not having protection..he's old, he's rich, he's in London. No explanation needed.
Totally agree, whilst I'm strongly against the death penalty. When people talk about an eye-for-an-eye I can at least see where they're coming from but some petty thieves being hung is just outrageous by all accounts.Thing is even if the death penalty came back these guys wouldn't get it...it's for murderers/terrorists/hardcore criminals. Looks a nasty injury, it also turns out that he had no where near £200k worth on him.
What's Henry VIII got to do with things anyway? The point I was making is that throughout history the extremely rich have needed bodyguards and security, it's not something which has come about recently like Dan implied. I can assure you Henry VIII most definitely did have a few bodyguards if that settles anything![]()
Ouch! Why didn't he have a bodyguard if he was such a high profile?
To be fair I don't think many people would or even should have a body guard walking from their car to the building they own, regardless of their status. (That's my personal opinion, please don't reply with some massive essay about how they should etc). Most normal people with any morals wouldn't attack an 80 year old man. But then again I guess that's the Britain we live in now. Wasn't an old woman aged like 90 killed this year when she was mugged for literally pounds and left to die in the street?
Depends where you live I guess. Normal to me is not 10k debt.Thing is even if the death penalty came back these guys wouldn't get it...it's for murderers/terrorists/hardcore criminals. Not a small gang of petty thieves.

I will make sure I tell my grandad to get body guards. Lives in London, Old, has a bit of money.
So since you say everyone has 10k debt, lets say they actually all have 2k. This mans 200k jewellery would be like someone with 2k walking around with 20p? :S
You said throughout British history. Henry VIII IS part of British History, and he was the first person I thought of. He had soldiers, but he didn't need them to walk from a car to his OWN building.Totally agree, whilst I'm strongly against the death penalty. Also if the death penalty was brought in, smaller crimes are also likely to have slightly harsher sentences (there would be space in prisons!!)
