I had to wear a tie from year 7-9 before they did away with the old uniform and changed it to polo shirts which you could wear anyway you liked as long as you wore it like a shirt is supposed to be worn. But I used to wear it properly at first, like in year 7, but by the time I was in year 9 I just wore it like everyone else, loose as hell with a somewhat giant knot. They used to force us to have out top buttons done up as well, but they gave up after about an hour and just let us be with a disgrace attempt at weaing a uniform
! The only time we had to tie it properly was during certain events and such, or on field trips in which we were representing the school and all that. If I can remember, I cut my tie in half when I went into year 10, other people burned theirs which was quite funny.
