i think mine split when i was 11 or 12 and then i'd stay with my mum during the week and dad at the weekends, now i live 400 miles away from my dad and see him once a year for for a few hours. tbh, i really wouldn't care if i had no contact with my dad because i know what he's done to my mum and the rest of my family. and this is really bad, but the only reason i stay in contact is for birthday and christmas money, and by 'contact' i mean a text on birthdays and christmas and going to his house for an evening while im down near him. if i decided to stay with my dad when my mum moved away, i'd be a completely different person right now, so i'm glad i stayed with my mum because it was for the best, and the fact my brother was staying down there for university so she would've been living 400 miles away from her entire family on her own which wouldn't have been nice at all.

My parents got divorced about 10 years ago. I went with my mum and that would still be my choice. Still love my dad.. just I'v always been a mummys boy >;D
