Can I just remind people not to criticise or question the decisions of Jin otherwise you might end up in a spot of bother :/

It is fairly unreliable and slow at times but for quite an amateurish site it's not surprising.

It's very surprising to see this level of errors on a board when as said before even amateur sites can stay up.
Probably just an issue with overcompensating. The forum I had to fix has literally no optimisations other than memcache + vbcache and it runs just swell, never errors or explodes.

But I guess that's what you get!, maybe we should downgrade to vb3
or perhaps an upgrade to a different forum software I guess.
apt is not a word I'd use to describe vbulletin's ability to not be useless.

Why do you even need cPanel, I don't know.
I agree with this. A Jewbear will probably fix this and then just do basic optimisations such as memcached and eAccelerator/APC. The server is easily powerful enough to run at least five times all of Habbox in this configuration imo.

I agree even when not at gunpoint..

I also agree that IPB would be an intelligent idea.

No, we'll get a forum technician when we have someone who can be trusted.

I like you and everything but god dam you moan so much. Anyway:

All of the errors you currently face on HabboxForum would not be fixed by a Forum Technician. Why? Well they don't have the extent of all access to all areas where as Jin would fix the errors himself and so on. The only thing that a technician would do for us at this moment in time is fix any skin problems that we may be facing, adding features or changing current features such as the spoiler styles and so on. (This is up to Jin on what access the person gets)

We do not require one immediately and there is no rush to get one into place and the reason we don't rush to get one into place is because there is a matter of trust involved. General Management and the Owners of Habbox do not like giving out admin powers or access to areas of the websites willy nilly and we will only give access if they need it do to their job and that we actually trust them. Because waking up one day and finding out the person who is a techie has done damage to the forum and what not will not really be "great news" to any of us.

I'm not saying we will never get another forum technician but we will when we feel we can trust someone and it's the correct time for them to get into that role.

No, a forum technician would be able to fix all the bugs the vBulletin 4.2.1 update bought around on the custom skins etc.

A decent server technician would work to fix all the problems the server is throwing up.
