Bill Gates still have a HUGE influence in Microsoft though. You said Bill Gates, Not microsoft.
He is only a minor part of Microsoft now, Granted he founded the company, But Now he has taken a back seat, If he was going to give me software I wouldn't say no, Just because he might loose a bit of money, It is estimated he makes around $300, A second
The fact is he wouldn't give everyone software, I never said you would say no. But there is a reason companies/company executives don't give everyone free software.
Yet your saying the PC gaming industry is dieing, Due to people torrenting games? No
"When we started the last decade, video game industry sales, including PC games, totaled $7.98B in 2000," said Anita Frazier, industry analyst, The NPD Group. "In ten years, the industry has changed dramatically in many ways, but most importantly it was grown over those years by more than 250 percent at retail alone. Considering there are many new sources of revenue including subscriptions and digital distribution, industry growth is even more impressive."Granted that statistic is a few years old, It will be higher now, Game producers are still making massive profits2009 U.S. VIDEO GAME INDUSTRY AND PC GAME SOFTWARE RETAIL SALES REACH $20.2 BILLION
2006 - $970 million - Thats the US, PC Physical media sales

There must be some kind of reason they don't bother maximising the computers potential. Look at Fifa - always a year/two years behind on PC. I love PC Gaming, but you can't really say people not paying for the games (considering less people already use PCs nowadays) is not affecting the gaming.
Well, think about it, A lot of people are still using older computers, And not all people upgrade as soon as new hardware is released, I personally don't, Think about the specs windows 7 can now run on, Even that is high for a lot of computers compared to what XP can run on, And that is still the dominant operating systemThere must be some kind of reason they don't bother maximising the computers potential. ... and XP is ~10 years old, people should really be keeping up with technology. Feel free to argue against that but it's my 2 cents.Well, think about it, A lot of people are still using older computers, And not all people upgrade as soon as new hardware is released, I personally don't, Think about the specs windows 7 can now run on, Even that is high for a lot of computers compared to what XP can run on, And that is still the dominant operating system
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

Well it didn't work anyway, so the PC gaming industry hasn't lost any money.
Well, a lot of people don't feel the need to, Until last year new computers were still shipping with XP, Why should they upgrade if they have only had it for such a short amount of time?
