i'm scared of wet food, banana's, food touching eachother and FLIES.
Just those huge spiders that run through the room in the middle of the night. Small spiders don't bother me.![]()

I've left, but I still visit sometimes!
I have a fear/phobia of spiders as wellI've got a serious phobia of spiders, last night there was a spider crawling across the floor and I ended up in tears, I don't understand what I find scary about spiders, I'm just scared of them.
I'm actually a little bit worried about the way I react, I'll do anything to get away from one.
Anyone know anything that could sort of, cure my phobia, or anything that will take my mind of it, I have to check places before I go in, like small spaces I can't go in for ages cus I'm scared.
agh i sound so sad, but anyone got advice?. As above, small spiders aren't that bad though.
We've been doing about phobias in Psychology quite recently and if it's something that you really want to overcome then there's plenty of psychologists and therapists out there who can help.
To be "cured" as such, they will do something called systematic desensitization; aim of which is to change your thoughts about the phobia. First they will put you into a relaxed, meditated state and then, once fully content, they will start to talk to you about spiders. First letting you imagine one, then showing you pictures, holding the picture, etc. After a couple of sessions, you may be ready to hold a spider in a jar and then hopefully in your bare hands. You will do all this while you're relaxed so you will instantly relate your phobia with relaxation.
Really do reccomend it. You could say I have a slight phobia of snakes.. they're fine behind glass but once they're out.... bloomin heck.
Anyway, good luck.
I don't think i'd ever be able to hold a spider, not a massive one, I used to not be scared of spiders![]()
I used to hate spiders until I picked one up, well, one walked over my hand then I realised that it's not going to hurt me so I played with it for a while, then killed it. Other than that, I'm not scared of anything.
Ahh oh my gosh. SPIDERS. I have a crazyy story.
So I was in Math class one day, and my teacher wanted to take us outside to do our in class excersizes. We went outside and sat on the bleachers. There was a spider web under one of them and everyone was like "eww, a spider web!". Me, trying to be all relaxed, was like ohhh it's fine. We're about to go in, and I tell my friend: "Heyy, maybe that spider is on you?" (trying to be all flirty.) AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE IS A HUGEEE SPIDER CRAWLING UP MY SHIRTTT. OMG I STARTED CRYING & FREAKINGG. i was like ew ew get it off! and then my teacher had to hit it off (hes a guy ._.) and it was in the worst place >_>
ughhhhhhhh. I HATE SPIDERS. ):<

How would they stop me being scared of a faceless 10-15 foot man with tentacles lurking at my windows? We've been doing about phobias in Psychology quite recently and if it's something that you really want to overcome then there's plenty of psychologists and therapists out there who can help.
