I think people have grasped the wrong end of this.Ok, so you're a parent of a 13 year old who uses Habbo, you walk upstairs and you hear them listening to something on their computer and you hear several swearwords etc coming from the DJ - would you be happy? No, and this is why DJs swearing won't be allowed.
I don't personally have issues with songs that swear, but that's my viewpoint and if Jess & Martin don't agree with that then it's their place to make that decision.
I personally don't want DJs swearing on air, and I doubt that was even the point of the thread. How I saw the thread was swearing in songs. But Jess just said it sounds bad ^.

For once, this guy speaks sense. True story yo.Ok, so you're a parent of a 13 year old who uses Habbo, you walk upstairs and you hear them listening to something on their computer and you hear several swearwords etc coming from the DJ - would you be happy? The parent issue is strong for the DJ side, but I believe it to be totally unrealistic if parents dont expect to hear occasional swearing in songs, when used multiple times it could become OTT, and what if a parent didn't hear swearing in a song but heard extremely dark lyrics? Is there a lyrical theme ban on certain topics?

Do we really need swearing on the radio? no. I agree with what Oli said about if you're a parent of a 13 year old kid and they come up and hear swearing in songs and the djs swearing would you really want them to tune into that? also swearing on the radio would just give habboxlive and habbox as a whole a bad name and it would create the wrong messages. If we did allow swearing on the radio then i think some if not all djs would take advantage of it i mean theres probably loads of DJs who have songs they really want to play but can't because they cannot find clean versions of the songs, myself included.
Fair enough that some people have parents that swear but i do still think that swearing on the radio is just inappropriate and not really needed but i do see where you're coming from.Dear lord, a dj swearing is a big nono, I mean as in songs. I think I needed to make that clearer!
But my parents do occasionally swear and im sure others do, nobody comes from a perfect family and we don't live in a perfect world, 1 swear word in a song won't kill us... hopefully.![]()
Why on earth would you ever need to swear on a Habbo Radio or any radio in the first place :S Swearing in songs is a bit of a difficult topic, and hasn't been a total problem in the past as far as I am aware.
