I can confirm VM now throttle my usenet connection, even in the early hours of the morning.

HTTP downloads (Rapidshare e.c.t.) download at full 30Mb/s, however usenet maxes out at around 15-18Mb/s for most of the day.

If you're using a decent service, change to port 80/8080/443.

Astraweb offer SSL on port 543 or something too though iirc?

The default for Astraweb is port 563, which is what I'm using now.

Gonna try it throughout tomorrow when speeds are throttled again.
