Yeah - my dad always talks about a program that used to be on each week that talked about how cars would be flying etc! This looks absolutely fantastic and I would be on one of those in a heartbeat (it would be even better if it had a transparent floor too..). It should be easy enough for them to do; all they need is transparent plastic which is the same strength of the metals which currently make up an aircraft. I feel that air travel as a whole has severely regressed since the demise of Concorde. After so many years, they finally managed to get a superb flying machine; one which could take regular passengers like you and I at the speed of sound, getting us over the Atlantic in just three hours. This was the way forward, and it's such a shame that it's been scrapped and we're still flying at such an (arguably) slow speed.
Ask your parents and it will become clear that in the late 1900's, the vision for the 2000's was futuristic, robots, hoverboards and the likes - hey, all you have to do is watch Back to the Future. Whilst I do think that all this is certainly possible, it would be such a shame if we're let down yet again.
Looks like an unrealistic attempt to me. Although, I have said it before and will say it again, when the old program used to be on they didn't even have the technology that meant their ideas COULD be possible, but the concepts coming around now are normally all possible.
