It is a sport, yet it is not a direct competitive sport. It's sportive entertainment.
It is defined by the media, the WWE as a company and broadcasters as a sport.
The WWE is an exhibition sport, in which there is no competitive value of any significant kind to any competitor regardless of the outcome of the competition.

They're not fighting. They're wrestling.

Professional wrestling (or pro wrestling) is a mode of spectacle, combining athletics and theatrical performance.
