Round here those brands are still very much chav free.

How is it 'tacky'? Admittedly some of the stuff I'd never be seen dead in, but most of it looks quite smart..

The hoodies are essentially a plain hoodie with two words on it, priced at £69. Over priced or am I missing the point?

Bit of both really. I understand people like paying above and beyond to fit in with their friends, but £69 for a hoody that just says WILLS on it is ridiculous. In my experience the people that buy from their are pretty much thick, so at least it's a nice warning to discourage any conversation with them

pretty much as the post below you says, paying something ridiculous for an uninspired hoodie that just says "WILLS" on it is incredibly tacky for me. you are paying for the brand essentially, and one that really isn't that great to begin with.

it makes me laugh how they are claiming to be a 'university outfitters' when the majority of people i see wearing JW are 14 year old girls, who accompany their tacky ass hoodies with leggings and uggs. clones.

I've never seen Jack Wills where I live which is Dundee. I had a look on their website for the sake of the thread and I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. It looks like an average-at-best clothing brand and I would much prefer non-brand sites like River Island, Topman and ASOS.

Mate of mine is obsessed with Jack Wills.. But how is it a 'University Outfitter'? All my mates at uni wouldn't be able to afford £69+ for a shirt from there, even getting the cheap stuff they're still scrounging haha!
