It's a joke. He makes all sorts of jokes. You cannot take jokes seriously. He is not a politician. We should not care about his views on politics. Move on.

Im absolutely sick to death of the unions, their champagne socialist leaders, the workers of the public sector protesting about their pension and the left of the political spectrum.

You can hate me all you want for saying this but THERE ARE NO CUTS!!!!, when will people actually look at the figures and understand that public spending is not decreasing and therefore wiping out the defecit (so we run a surplus) until 2017 at the EARLIEST!. 2017 is when we are no longer contributing to the debt, but the debt will still be there. Our total debt is already enroaching onto the 80% mark. There is no money left in the kitty for ANYTHING as anything we are spending is not ours as we do not have any money left!. I've tired to be clear, I really have but no doubt this will still go over the heads of the left wing looneys who want gold-plated pensions of whom those in the private sector could only dream about. Even if the Unions accept the current deal on the table, there will still be a £10,000,000,000 (ten billion) black hole.

Mr Clarkson was only having a joke, some people need laughing sessions I think.

lol the one show where they investigate things like 'badgers running riot in the north yorkshire moors' and other boring stuff like that. Clarkson probably knows this and wanted to have a laugh at the presenters' expense who'd have to sit there uncomfortably squirming in their seats. It'll also give him something to rant about in his column in saturday's the sun.

This. I saw people striking in their early twenties; one guy who had been at work for one year was striking... My dad thought he should be sacked instantly. He has 40 years until he retires, and he is striking? Makes no sense

lol, just been speaking to my Dad about this. Apparently the BBC have had over 5000 complaints. Sky News ran a poll to see who agreed with Jeremy Clarkson... and apparently 90% of voters agreed. Brilliant.

Because there's clearly not the slightest hint of sarcasm in his voice

Jeremy Clarksons humour is dull, but if you still can't detect that sarcasm you're even duller and even more pathetic than if the comment was from the heart.

Get a grip you soft *****, you should go cry to your mums not the ******* police about words, I highly doubt the words shot you dead.

If anything he's given the strikes more publicity...

Apologies you took this some what personally, but he hardly holds an esteem, he holds more of an opinion. It's widely known he's controversial for the fun of it, doing the opposite of what is right for "Teh Lols"

Take off your bubble wrap, you'll realise the world isn't a soft and plushy place soon enough.
