Optical drives are just optical drives, there's nothing really fancy about them and it doesn't really matter which one you go for as long as it's what you need and it works at the end of the day. It isn't like any other component, anyway this one should do you the job and it's under £20:

The motherboard I was going to buy is not out of stock.. again so i found another LGA1155 with a Z68 chipset:http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyt...ard-gaz68xpud3 How does that look? just need to someone to say thats fine and i'll buy all the parts

I'll be buying from here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-SKT...5066571&sr=8-1

I think they are the same?

EDIT: Last question; do I need to buy any wires? or do all they wires come with the parts?

You should get all the wires you need. In my experience the only thing I've every been short of is a SATA cable, but that's not a problem unless you've got a lot of hard drives.

So your going to buy items from Amazon.com, the USA version? Surely you would be paying more for delivery.

Well the case is £80 from .co.uk so it think the posting i will pay for .com still makes it cheaper. The same with the power supply.

Not when you have to pay the customs tax for importing it. An item that large they are surely to check it.
