I've left, but I still visit sometimes!
Yeah I had them for about a year and a half, and they did a great job and now they look so good. Sometimes when I had them on though they really pissed me off it just felt really weird and I didn't want them on. I wear retainers at night now, expecting it to go a couple of nights a week when I go for my appointment in a couple of weeks though.
haven't got mine yet but i need them
i have bracesanother 16 months till they're off!
My teeth are terrible, cos I had three black tooth back when I was like six, so I'm probes going for braces this or next yearBtw how does it feel during the surgery? For pol who had em.
R U MY MUMMY??????????????
formerly a smith enthusiast.............. currently an asswipe
I currently have braces.
I don't mind them unless they're hurting me or if I've just had them tightened because then I can't eat the foods I like! The dentist kinda screwed up with them so they broke twice but she did nothing about it for ages so it means I have to have them on for longer..
I had them for two years when I was 15 - 17 and honestly, probably the best thing I've ever done. My teeth were awful before but now they're pretty straight and nice! I hated them when I had them though especially when I had to go and get them tightened, I was actually crying throughout the day because of the pain feels like somebody is trying to rip your teeth out!
I used to have them as I had prominent "eye" teeth and a 6mm overbite, they really hurt when you first get them on and when they get tightened up. To anybody about to get brases i'd recommend stock up on yoghurt, rice pudding, mash potato and ice cream as you literally cannot chew when they first get put on and when they get tightened. Towards the end of the treatment tightening pain is down to a minimum and doesnt affect you at all. If this has put you off of having them i'd say go for it. The results are phenominal and think about the cost, later down the line (past 16) the NHS will not pay for them for you and they start at a minimum of £2000. My sister was recommended to have them and could of had them done on the NHs but didn't and now she regrets it. If they say you can have them on the NHS dont hesitate get them done!
nope, never needed them before :-o
yes, braces have seriously taken over my life. I have a retainer for about a year and then i got fitted with braces. Four years on and i still have them on... i'm hopefully getting them off soon, i seriously cannot wait!!
