i really really like this song but then again i like nearly all of her songs so i wasn't expecting not to like it :p

Could someone explain the song meaning or else I'm only going to see this video as a bit random. I like how she uses different videos like at the beginning and the end. I've loved this song since I heard it god knows when back.

The way I see it is that Katy Perry in the video has gained a sense of awareness and has finally seen through her childhood naivity as represented by the child Katy Perry. She's "not blind anymore"; she stomps and the creatures that was blocking her path and every other obstacle are now clear of her path, she is free to move on. When Katy Perry sees her prince charming and punches him she may be showing awareness that love isn't all fairy tales and that she won't live all happily ever after just like that. She's wide awake, she sees life for what it really is, she understands that life isn't all California dreaming and that that kind of life is more of a teenage dream than reality. There may be many obstacles in the way but she is now wide awake and ready to tackle them.

That's my lame analysis and only my own personal interpretation, I may be completely wrong haha
