I joined Habbo in 2003 and I'm now over 18. I think a lot of the community have reached that sort of age now. I've paid good money for the furni I have on the hotel, why should I be expected it give it all up on my 18th Birthday? I don't tend to go on there and make friends now, not like I used to. I have friends on the site who I have known for years and who I will always be good friends with and chat to, but I wouldn't say I really speak much to other users in a friendly manner as such (I don't mean I'm horrible, lol, carry on reading and you'll get what I mean). I go on Habbo now solely to run my Big Brother, which involves running games as often as I can and refurbishing the house every few months, constantly improving and upgrading the rooms. I'm not gonna give it all up just because I've grown out of the catchment age. You can't simply say that because someone is over the intended age for the game that they are a paedophile. I am no such thing and would be disgusted to find out any other genuine players my age were. I grew with the game and continue to enjoy it today; as the game it is. The problem isn't naive, uneducated 11-year-olds talking to 20,30,40-year-olds. The problem is the users that are of that age range that are on the site solely for grooming children. THAT is the problem. Me being just over 20 isn't an issue; I am not there to carry out criminal actions, I am there to play games and speak to old friends. The issue comes with users over the age of 18 who are there not to enjoy the game, but are there to do the things highlighted in the C4 reports.
EDIT: Although to be fair, I don't see why anyone of the ages 30-40 would be on the site anyone, even mid to late 20s. Early 20s I can understand, because many of those users will have joined the site early on and be unwilling to leave. Doesn't automatically make them a paedo though just because they've gone over 20.
