    as someone already pointed out, sex sells and sometimes artists need to use that to enhance their record sales. i'm not saying that's the right thing to do though. you'll find that most of the artists i listen to don't tend to feature anything sexual in their videos.

    not really i don't know what you've been watching lmao... music videos have been this way for a long time. take this for example and it's not even the genre we're all on about. kate moss has always been a sex symbol

    those sort of videos haven't only appeared recently, there have been many like it without gaga being there. it's just that music videos have become a lot more accessible and viewable than lets say, 10 years ago. take youtube for example, that's probably one the main sources for music videos and without it not as many people would know about gagas videos.

    I think like mentioned above by others videos being alot more available for everyone with YouTube means artists sometimes care about the video as much as the song it's self. Anything to attract more views means more people listen to the song whilst viewing the video which then might lead them to purchase the song from iTunes which is where the money comes from.
