I wouldn't. Last time the Americans tried to fix this the chinese were giving the Koreans more booze. (aka the chinese gave DPRK a bunch of MiGs).

It's all just rhetoric, if you follow this stuff, you will know they heighten the rhetoric every now and again. The media as always is trying to sensationalize this story to what it's not.

What I find most interesting is the change in rhetoric from China; now this could be for a few reasons, one being that they want to be respected behind an international table and being so aligned to North Korea does anything but that.

They won't do anything though. This is like the fifth time they declare war on South Korea. Nothing happened in any of the other times and it will most likely (and hopefully) not happen now. The only difference is that now, media is making it look way worse than it actually is.

Pentagon sends missile defences to Guam as North Korea 'approves nuclear attack on US'
The Pentagon has announced that it is sending an advanced ballistic missile defence system to Guam, as North Korea ramped up its bellicose rhetoric with the announcement that it has given final approval for a nuclear attack on the US.
The General Staff of the Korean People's Army said it was formally informing Washington that US threats would be "smashed by... cutting-edge smaller, lighter and diversified nuclear strike means".
"The merciless operation of (our) revolutionary armed forces in this regard has been finally examined and ratified," the statement, carried by the state news agency and reported by South Korean news agency Yonhap, said.
The Korean statement came as US defence secretary Chuck Hagel warned of a "real and clear" danger from North Korea.
“Some of the actions they’ve taken over the last few weeks, present a real and clear danger,” Mr Hagel told an audience at the National Defense University in Washington.

I'm sitting here patiently waiting for DPRK to understand MAD, this is getting real silly now.

Is the US putting in place the defense system in Guam as they think there's a genuine threat? Or is it flex some muscles?

Guam's actually within range of DPRK's shorter range (And more reliable) missiles, it's theoretically possible that DPRK has been masking just how advanced they are and they might have a short range weaponised nuclear device. Of course why they'd fire it at Guam beggar's belief, since they'd do virtually no damage and open themselves up to a broadside of US Bombing Runs.
